Project Construction Manager

Job Description

Responsible for the delivery of the project during Construction phase and until commissioning and project hand-over.

Responsibilities

He/she will be supported by a site-based team, be the main point of contact for all day-to-day activities and work in close collaboration with Cleint’s PM. In brief:

Prepare and maintain a Project Execution Plan identifying roles and responsibilities of the project team, the Contractor and specialist sub-contractors and suppliers,
Establish all required procedures and processes, incl quality, communication plans, risk registers, change management, reporting, workflows etc.
Be the liaison between all project’s stakeholders and community members.
Monitor the performance of the consultant team, Contractor and Client's vendors and report to Client.
Undertake regular site walks to supervise, promote and observe safety and progress. Report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion.
Set up, chair and minute project site meetings as may be required.
Manage the PMC construction team and its needs on the grounds.
Through appropriate channels, and along with Client will liaise with utility, local and statutory authorities to establish their requirements for the Project.
Building and running project timelines, QA/QC plans, and risk strategies
Coordinating tender processes (RFPs, evaluations, negotiations)
Managing budgets, purchase orders, and cost control
Keeping projects on track with digital tools and lessons-learned reviews

Qualifications

2–4 years’ project management experience (infrastructure or critical facilities a plus)
Background in electrical, mechanical, or fire protection systems (helpful, not essential)
Experience in live operational environments (bonus if in data centers)
Strong communication and stakeholder skills
A proactive approach and the ability to juggle multiple projects independently

Language: Italian, English required
