Back End Developer

Our FinTech client based in Birmingham is on the hunt for a back-End Developer (Golang) to join the team on a full-time permanent basis.

As a backend Developer your primary responsibility will be to develop software using Go. You will be building microservices, deploying them to the cloud and owning them in production. You will join a cross-functional Agile team alongside frontend developers, QAs and product owners.

In addition to writing code you will be refining user stories, creating database schemas and APIs, doing code reviews, writing documentation, monitoring services, implementing automated tests and demoing your work to clients & stakeholders.

Requirements:

● Go (either 3+ years experience, or 1-2 years if backed up by comprehensive industry experience with other systems programming languages).

● Test automation

● SQL

● Agile

● Cloud experience (AWS preferred)

● Commercial experience of Kubernetes & Docker

● Solid understanding of CI/CD

● Git

● Experience with distributed systems and patterns

● Comfortable with pair programming

● Complex problem solving skills
