We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. This role is structured as an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position. The ideal candidate is someone who values flexibility, can quickly ramp up, and thrives in delivering results within defined timelines.

Responsibilities

• Document incident response procedures and maintain security protocols
• Conduct regular security audits and prepare compliance reports
• Perform daily security monitoring and vulnerability assessments
  
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; Security certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
• Experience working with cloud infrastructures
• Strong skills in threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, risk management, incident response, and knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001)
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions
• Proven experience with incident response, risk assessment, and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Remote working experience
• Minimal travel, primarily for annual team meetings or occasional site assessments
