What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models
• Write tests, review code, and keep quality high
• Design and document RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Implement secure, reliable authentication and validation
• Deliver end-to-end features, including small Angular/TypeScript updates
• Contribute to architecture discussions and help modernize legacy parts of the platform

Who you are – must have

• 3+ years of hands-on PHP 7/8 development experience
• Strong knowledge of Symfony or another modern MVC framework with readiness to transition
• Solid SQL skills (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including query optimization
• Experience designing and documenting RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with a modern JavaScript framework — ideally Angular; React or Vue also welcome — plus good TypeScript fundamentals
• Consistent use of unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Fluent in Ukrainian and comfortable working in English at an intermediate level or higher
• Proactive, structured, and clear in communication; you take ownership and value feedback

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Redis, or ClickHouse
• Hands-on work with performance optimization at scale
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and collaboration with DevOps
• Interest in AI-powered tools (e.g., Copilot, GPT) to speed up routine tasks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
