Business Analyst ITSM

For a large Swiss energy client of ours in Olten/Lausanne we are seeking a highly motivated professional to take up the following challenge:

Business Analyst ITSM – External 100%

Within the IT Portfolio & Project Management Team, we ensure the Portfolio Management planning, management and quality delivery of various projects ranging from strategic to transformational to operational change, serving internal and external customers across the organisation.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our DevSecOps initiative, with a focus on securing GitLab pipelines and onboarding applications to Snyk. The role requires strong leadership,

stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with a working understanding of CI/CD concepts.

You should be experienced in both classical and agile management & delivery methodologies, be

pragmatic and keenly focused on delivery.

Working Location: Mainly remote with a few times travel to Olten, CH and Prague, CZ

Main Responsibilities:

• Determine and define business needs and global requirements to develop and continue the growth of an Atlassian ITSM environment with primary focus on the Configuration Management process and CMDB
• As part of stakeholder facing team, work closely with Atlassian functional team to lead and
• drive technical and business requirements gathering and formulation for the
• implementation team
• A proven track record in ITSM project implementation, ideally with a strong background in delivering strategic ITSM Service management solutions
• Manages and communicates ITSM Projects release schedule
• Develops use cases, process diagrams, and requirements documentation using stories and scrum tasks in the ITSM program Jira container
• Document and map current ITSM processes and perform gap analyses against desired or best practice, preferably using industry standard techniques and frameworks such as ITIL
• Work closely with process owners and request type owners to elicit and agree requirements for request workflows and IT self-service on Atlassian instance
• Collaborate with Infra, Cloud, Security and App teams to validate existing CI data
• Assist in defining object schemas, relationships, and data governance in Jira Assets
• Document ownership models and update practices for configuration items
• Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions
• Validate imported data and asset relationships against business expectations

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in business, information technology, or equivalent proven practical

1. experience.

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within ITSM or large-scale
• transformation programs.
• A proven track record in gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements, with the ability to translate them into actionable solutions.
• Strong knowledge of ITSM processes, service management frameworks (ITIL/ITSM), and configuration management (CMDB) is a significant advantage.

• Remote mainly with occasional travel into Olten, Lausanne and Prague
