Financial Controller

This role owns budgeting, forecasting, ARR and gross margin modelling, and works cross-functionally with GTM, Product, and Executive teams. It’s analytical warfare, strategic storytelling, and business partnership rolled into one.

What You’ll Do

• Own the annual operating plan, including departmental budgets, headcount plans, and financial targets.
• Run quarterly forecasting cycles and budget vs. actual reviews.
• Translate business strategy into financial terms and performance metrics.
• Build and maintain robust models for ARR, MRR, churn, retention, and expansion.
• Deep-dive into unit economics, CAC payback, gross margin by product/channel.
• Support pricing strategy and monetization experiments with data-backed scenarios.
• Create dashboards and reports for the Exec Team.
• Provide variance analysis and proactive recommendations to improve performance.
• Partner with RevOps, Sales, and Product to align financial goals with GTM execution.
• Own and enhance financial models in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Power BI knowledge is a plus, but you will have a strong partner – Data Analyst there.
• Collaborate with the Chief Accountant on accounting-to-FP&A data flow.
• Bring automation where possible. Manual hell is not a badge of honour here.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, consulting, or SaaS finance.
• Strong grasp of SaaS metrics: ARR, churn, LTV/CAC, net retention, gross margin, etc.
• Killer Excel / Sheets skills. Financial models should be dynamic, elegant, and error-free.
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders, including C-level.
• Commercial mindset: you don’t just report — you recommend, challenge, and act.
