Senior Application Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer with strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Java to design, develop and optimize enterprise applications. In this role, you will lead application development initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver scalable solutions that support business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET and Java.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Lead application design discussions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Optimize application performance, security and scalability across platforms.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs and third-party services.
• Perform code reviews, enforce best practices and ensure high-quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues in production and development environments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in application development with C#, .NET and Java.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Experience with front-end technologies (Angular, React or Vue.js).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of security best practices in application development.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer, Oracle Certified Java Professional).
