Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Network & Systems Administrator to take ownership of IT security, cloud, and network operations while driving projects that improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design, implement, and maintain integrated systems across a variety of platforms,
ensuring alignment with both current and long-term business goals.

This is a hybrid role based in Edmonton, Alberta.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPNs, SASE, IPAM).
  • Oversee cloud and on-premises environments (Azure, AWS, M365, Windows/Linux servers, Hyper-V).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise systems, ensuring reliability and high performance.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, monitoring, and incident response strategies.
  • Lead upgrades, patching, and capacity planning for network and system infrastructure.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and mentor other IT team members.
  • Collaborate with business units, vendors, and partners to deliver secure and efficient IT services.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for systems, security, and architecture.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with networks, systems, and cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, and security frameworks (CASB, SASE, MDR/XDR).
  • Skilled in system administration across Windows, Linux, Azure, AWS, and M365.
  • Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, SQL, YAML).
  • Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Certifications (Juniper, Cisco, Microsoft, Aruba, or Fortinet) are an asset.
