Our client, a high growth and cutting- edge innovator of power solutions and equipment for the data processing industry have a requirement for a Mechanical Package Manager to join their Dublin based team on a permeant basis.

As Mechanical Package Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and packages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of mechanical packages with project objectives
  • Review project requirements and develop detailed design specifications for mechanical systems and components
  • Oversee the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical packages
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project stakeholders, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including technical proposals, feasibility studies, and cost estimation
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in mechanical engineering, and implement innovative practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency

To be Considered for the role of Mechanical Package Manager, you will have:

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience – 5 plus years- in mechanical engineering, with a focus on project management and package design
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and developing mechanical systems and packages
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain management for mechanical equipment and materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and contractors
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges
