Senior Network Engineer

Client Introduction:

Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise network infrastructure.

The role involves managing firewalls, load balancers, routing, switching, DNS, proxies, and network security tools while ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco ASA, VMware NSX).

• Configure and support routing and switching across LAN/WAN/data center environments.

• Administer load balancers (F5 LTM, VMware NSX ALB).

• Operate and manage web application firewalls (F5 LTM, VMware NSX WAF).

• Support intrusion prevention systems (Cisco Firepower, VMware NSX IPS).

• Manage DNS services (Infoblox) and ensure reliable domain resolution.

• Administer proxy and internet access in compliance with GRC guidelines.

• Perform site publishing (staging/production).

• Troubleshoot network, proxy, F5, and access-related issues.

• Manage incidents involving fiber and MPLS connectivity.

• Respond to security incidents, apply critical patches, and remediate vulnerabilities.

• Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 7–10 years of proven experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.

• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel).

• Hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and IPS/IDS systems.

• Solid troubleshooting and incident management skills.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNP (Enterprise)

• CCNP Security

• ITIL v4 Foundation

• Virtualization knowledge/certification (VMware or equivalent) Preferred Attributes

• Exposure to large-scale enterprise or government projects.

• Experience in security patch management and vulnerability remediation.

• Ability to work in high-pressure environments with critical service uptime.

• Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
