Job Summary – Junior Security Analyst (Clemson University)

  • Communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel effectively
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with responsible teams
  • Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions
  • Review and process firewall change requests
  • Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities
  • Assist with incident response and security investigations
  • Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessments
  • Create security alerts in SIEM based on data from various security tools
  • Work with web applications and databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)
  • Utilize networking tools (Nmap, Wireshark) and conduct vulnerability scanning
  • Collaborate remotely with some onsite travel required (approx. 2 weeks/year)
  • Preferred: Experience with SIEM searches, Palo Alto Firewalls, NIST 800-53, and SECURITY+ certification
