Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support to internal users. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, managing desktop and laptop systems, and ensuring optimal workstation performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first- and second-level support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS platforms.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Assist with setup and support of video conferencing tools and office equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Log, track, and resolve support tickets using a helpdesk or ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
  • Perform system imaging, data backup/restoration, and deployment of devices.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve escalated issues or implement new technologies.
  • Educate users on best practices and security awareness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of desktop support or technical support experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, basic networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), and remote access tools (e.g., RDP, TeamViewer).
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android) and MDM solutions (e.g., Intune).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA/MCSA, or similar.
  • Experience with ITIL practices or ITSM tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, Google Workspace).
