Cloud Architect

My client is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native solutions. In this role, you will provide architectural leadership, ensure security and scalability, and guide development teams in building robust applications on AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and implement cloud architectures leveraging AWS services.
• Lead cloud adoption and modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy applications to AWS.
• Architect highly available, scalable, and secure solutions across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Provide guidance on serverless, containerization (ECS, EKS, Lambda), and microservices architectures.
• Establish best practices for security, compliance, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and data teams to enable seamless delivery pipelines.
• Evaluate emerging AWS technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
• Document cloud designs, policies, and processes for operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role.
• Deep expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, and VPC.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management (IAM, SSO, encryption, WAF).
• Experience designing highly available and disaster-resilient architectures.
• Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
• Background in data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, or analytics workloads on AWS.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost governance practices.
