Job Title: Mid/Sr. Android Developer

Location: Bucharest - Romania

Contract Type: Freelance - Hybrid (3 days/per week at the office)

Experience Level: Mid to Senior (4+ years)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to join our mobile development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Android applications while collaborating closely with product and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modern Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to create intuitive and user-centric mobile experiences
Participate in defining application architecture and development best practices
Conduct and participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality
Integrate RESTful APIs and manage application state effectively
Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Android application development
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Experience with REST API integration and state management (e.g., StateFlow, LiveData)
Solid understanding of MVVM or Clean Architecture principles
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Git, and repository platforms like GitHub or GitLab
Good communication skills and a proactive mindset

Nice to Have

Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Espresso, JUnit)
Familiarity with Jetpack libraries (Navigation, Hilt, Room, etc.)
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

Language Requirements

Proficiency in English
