Hiring Mode: Permanent (Full-time) & 6 Months contract with possible extension both types of hiring are available

Job Description :
Role Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a focus in GenAI products and with a strong background in the AWS stack to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in leveraging generative AI for legacy technology modernisation, including use cases around code and metadata discovery, generation, testing, deployment and maintenance. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming legacy systems into modern, efficient architectures by harnessing the power of AI.
Skills Required:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial data science, machine learning, or an AI-related field, with a focus on legacy technology modernisation.
- Proven track record in code and metadata discovery projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Extensive experience with the AWS ecosystem (such as S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch Serverless, etc.) for data storage, processing, model development and deployment., including data processing and machine learning tools.
- Familiarity with generative AI frameworks (e.g., GPT, BERT) and their applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Model Development:
- Design, deploy, and optimise generative AI models to support legacy technology modernisation initiatives.
- Utilise machine learning and data science techniques to extract insights from legacy code.
- GenAI Use Cases focussed on Legacy Modernisation:
- Implement advanced methodologies to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimisation. Generate outputs and recommendations:
- Discovery – code, metadata, image information extraction from legacy environments
- Analysis – exploration of entities, logic and flow
- Design – refactor, de-duplication and automation
- Code migration advisers – language/Framework conversion support to modern frameworks, and reconcile to legacy
- Build – Co-pilots generate high quality code
- Detect and fix bugs - analyse the code to identify patterns and anomalies, or test against template inputs
- Testing - generate unit tests to improve code coverage, and new synthetic test data
- Strength with AWS stack:
- Utilise AWS services (such as S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch Serverless, etc.) for data storage, processing, model development and deployment.
- Ensure best practices in cloud architecture, security, and cost-efficiency within the AWS ecosystem.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with software engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Present complex data-driven findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Research and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in generative AI and cloud computing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science methodologies and frameworks.
