The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg.
We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine – in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and their contributing factors. The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. We excel because we are truly interdisciplinary, and together we contribute to science and society.

Your role
- Interact with research groups in Luxembourg in the context of ELIXIR Luxembourg to consult and perform joint research
- Plan and conduct training in the frame of ELIXIR Luxembourg
Your profile
- Strong experience in data analysis environments commonly used in bioinformatics and systems biology
- Proficient in either Python or R and good knowledge of data science environments
- Familiarity with Unix environments
- Strong working knowledge of training, including experience as an instructor for Carpentry courses, Elixir Train-the-Trainer courses, or as a teacher in university-level education
- Laboratory experience in omics environments, such as sequencing, transcriptomics, or proteomics, is a plus
- Familiarity with training environments and interdisciplinary communication and presentation skills are essential
- Excellent working knowledge of English is required, Luxembourgish, German or French a plus
- Doctorate in statistics, data science, or systems biology or closely related fields, ideally with two years of work experience
- Alternative: Master’s degree in one of the above fields with three or more years of work experience
