About the Role:

In this role you will play an important part in designing, developing, testing, and deploying our system within video surveillance for the public transport industry. Becoming a member of the Icomera crew, you contribute to the digitalization and green mobility in Europe and North America.

You will become part of a team of skilled developers and engineers and be a key member contributing to the development and success of Icomera’s Video Surveillance System. We are looking for someone who has at least a few years’ experience of software development.

We are also looking for someone with good communication and soft skills, as communication with other departments and stakeholders is key.

Location and work dynamics:

The position is based in our Gothenburg office at Odinsgatan 28 in central Gothenburg, a few minutes’ walk from the central station. At Icomera, we apply a hybrid work environment with the majority of working hours at the office.

Key responsibilities and requirements

Working here you will be:

— Designing, developing, and testing a modern and state of art video surveillance system for public transport.

— Working parts of the time in the Icomera video surveillance lab configuring and testing new state-of-the art hardware and software.

— Take part in planning, deployment, and verification of customer project deployments for public transport in Europe and North America.

We are looking for someone with:

— Experience of Python

— Strong knowledge of Linux

— Knowledge of Kubernetes

— Experience of computer networks (TCP/IP, UDP, Firewalls)

— Experience of Golang (Go)

— Meritorious with previous work experience within video surveillance / CCTV / IP cameras

— Meritorious with experience cloud services like Amazon AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

— A relevant university degree in IT or Engineering, or equivalent work experience

— Excellent communication skills in English, Swedish is meritorious

Who You Are:

To thrive in this role, you are a skilled developer with strong soft skills who enjoy working in a dynamic and international company. You have previous work experience within software development and experience of Linux environments and computer networks.
