Network Engineer

As part of an industrial IT infrastructure program within a validated GxP environment, we are recruiting a Network Engineer to strengthen our client’s infrastructure team. The role involves designing, configuring, and maintaining secure network environments, ensuring high availability, and producing rigorous documentation in line with CSV standards.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructures in industrial validated environments
• Administer and support firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet), VPNs, and remote access solutions (e.g., Citrix)
• Define and implement network security rules and ensure compliance with GxP requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues
• Contribute to the setup of closed/isolated IT environments for production lines
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in compliance with CSV and GxP standards
• Collaborate with system engineers, application owners, and validation teams
• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring reliability and scalability

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer in industrial or regulated (pharma) environments
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco)
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN, VLANs, load balancing
• Familiarity with Citrix and remote access solutions is a plus
• Knowledge of validated environments (CSV, GxP) and compliance documentation
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in secure, closed infrastructures

Your Profile:

• Degree in IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in network administration and engineering
• Fluent English required; German is a strong asset
• Structured, rigorous, and detail-oriented personality
• Strong communicator, able to work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Availability to work on-site in Switzerland (Basel area)
