FX Trader (fiat, Cryptocurrencies, Python)

• Min. 3-5 years of FX trading experience, with proven expertise in both fiat currencies and exposure to digital assets (cryptocurrencies).
• Deep understanding of FX markets, including fiat pairs and crypto ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience managing client trades, preferably in a bank or other financial institution.
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis, with skills in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for modelling and data analysis.

We are looking for an experienced FX Trader to manage spot trading activities in both fiat currencies (e.g., USD, SGD, HKD, etc.) and digital assets (e.g., BTC, ETH, stablecoins). The ideal candidate will bring deep market insights, the ability to develop proprietary pricing models, and expertise in handling client trades while collaborating on technology initiatives. This role focuses initially on spot trades, with potential expansion to forwards and options in the future. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in risk management, treasury operations, and building a scalable electronic trading platform to be used by our clients.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis and Strategy: Develop and maintain informed views on FX markets for fiat and digital assets, including macroeconomic trends, geopolitical events, and blockchain-specific factors. Conduct real-time market monitoring to identify trading opportunities and risks.
• Pricing Methodology Design: Create and refine custom pricing models and algorithms tailored to spot trades in fiat and digital assets, ensuring competitive pricing while accounting for volatility, liquidity, and regulatory considerations.
• Client Trade Execution: Handle incoming client trades efficiently, providing quotes, executing spot transactions, and ensuring seamless settlement across fiat and digital asset pairs. Maintain high standards of client service and compliance.
• Technology Collaboration: Partner with the technology department to design, test, and implement an electronic trading platform, including API integrations, automated trading tools, and user interfaces for both fiat and crypto markets.
• Risk and Treasury Management: Oversee risk exposure across trading portfolios, implement hedging strategies, and manage treasury functions such as liquidity provisioning, collateral management, and reconciliation for fiat and digital assets.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all trading activities adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., AML/KYC for fiat and crypto). Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market insights, and risk metrics.
• Future Expansion Support: Contribute to planning for the introduction of forwards and options trading, including product development and risk framework enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Min. of 3-5 years of professional experience in FX trading, with proven expertise in both fiat currencies and exposure to digital assets (cryptocurrencies).
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing pricing methodologies in volatile markets.
• Hands-on experience managing client trades, preferably in a bank or other financial institution.
• Prior involvement in building or enhancing electronic trading platforms, with familiarity in APIs, blockchain technology, and trading software.
• Strong background in risk management and treasury operations.
• Experience with spot trades is essential; knowledge of forwards and options is a plus for future growth.
