You will design and implement Python-based automation frameworks, validate data pipelines and APIs, perform ETL and regression testing, and integrate with CI/CD workflows using AWS services like S3, Glue, and Athena.

Role Overview

The Senior Python Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure software quality. This includes building automation frameworks, creating and executing test scripts, analyzing results, and maintaining defect records. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including testers, developers, business analysts, and project managers to support strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Test Design & Automation

• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design automated tests.
• Develop, verify, and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks.
• Ensure traceability between tests and requirements.
• Execute complex test scripts and analyze results.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work within the Quality Engineering and Testing Community of Practice.
• Participate in code reviews and lead peer reviews.
• Report on testing progress, system quality, risks, and anomalies.

Framework & Tooling

• Build and maintain robust automation frameworks.
• Contribute to test planning and environment setup.
• Select appropriate automation approaches for projects.

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong background in test strategy, planning, and automation framework development.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lake Formation, Glue, DMS, S3, Redshift, MWAA).
• Proficient in Python (pytest, pandas, boto3).
• Skilled in automated system and non-functional testing.
• Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, IntelliJ, GitLab/GitHub, NEXUS, Maven, Grafana, Putty, JMeter/Gatling.
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Cucumber or similar automation tools.
• Exposure to microservices and container-based architecture testing.
• Knowledge of security testing practices.
