Android Developer

For one of our clients based in Europe, we are currently looking for a Android Developer.

Details:

• Start date: ASAP
• Hybrid - 4 days remote + 1 day in the office (Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra)

Scope:

The role involves end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of Android applications with a strong focus on modern UI, real-time communication, and scalable architecture. The developer will contribute to building robust, modular, and dynamic mobile features while working in a cloud-native environment.

Skills:

• At least 4 years of commercial experience in developing applications with Kotlin
• Practical experience with Jetpack Compose
• Strong knowledge of coroutines and Android Architecture Components;
• Hands-on experience with real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets and Server-Sent Events (SSE);
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and with Kubernetes;
• English language skills at a minimum B2 level, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI/ML-integrated chat platforms (e.g., LangChain, Firebase ML, Dialogflow)
• Exposure to mobile A/B testing and analytics tools
• Contributions to open-source mobile projects or UI libraries
• Familiarity with backend integration via REST, GraphQL, or Firebase
