Data and Analytics Manager

Our customer is a leading government entity in the UAE’s clean energy sector - responsible for delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative energy solutions.

We are seeking a highly qualified Data and Analytics Manager to join an organization at the forefront of the country’s energy transformation, leading long-term national sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulates a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and objectives of Company and Company Operations
• Encompasses the stewardship of data management, ensuring data quality, enforcing data governance protocols, and driving business intelligence initiatives.
• Leads the creation of a data integration strategy to enable seamless data flow across the organization.
• Oversees the creation of a compelling and concise data vision statement that articulates the future state of data and analytics within the organization.
• Ensures the vision is aspirational, aligned with business goals, and inspires action across all levels of the organization.
• Establishes the data architecture for Company and Company Operations, identifying data sources, applications, databases, third-party systems, data feeds, and data exchanges across business functions.
• Reviews and approves comprehensive ROI analyses to justify investments in the data platform.
• Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure platform success and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Selects vendors for data platform components through a thorough evaluation process.
• Negotiates contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with strategic objectives.
• Develops a comprehensive roadmap for selecting business intelligence tools that align with business requirements and technical capabilities.
• Uses KPIs to drive strategic decision-making and measure the success of BI initiatives.
• Leads the creation of a robust data governance framework, emphasizing policies and practices aligned with national and international nuclear regulations.
• Ensures the framework supports the organization’s strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees the classification of data based on sensitivity and criticality, ensuring adherence to nuclear regulations.
• Manages the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing, and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal – to maximize subordinate and Department’s performance.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
