Within this Proximus’ first Belgian center of excellence combining artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, the mission of the Security Management and Incident Response divisions is to protect Proximus, its customers, its business, its operations, and its reputation against any threats, external and internal. Role Description

As a Red Team Member, you will be part of an elite group of cybersecurity professionals responsible for simulating real-world cyber-attacks to test and improve the security posture of our organization. Your role involves identifying vulnerabilities, exploiting weaknesses, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance our defenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on networks, applications, and systems.
• Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs) and other sophisticated attack scenarios.
• Collaborate with blue team members to ensure a coordinated approach to security testing and incident response.
• Document findings, create detailed reports, and present results to stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
  
  

Profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and red teaming.
• Knowledge of penetration testing tools, infrastructure, frameworks and methodology.
• Ability to interpret and understand penetration testing reports and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash and C/C++.
• Familiarity with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001).
• You have in-depth knowledge of Internet technology and protocols.
• You have basic knowledge of the Incident Response lifecycle
• You are an expert in security vulnerabilities/weaknesses and related attacks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• You show integrity & trust while managing confidential information.
• Experience within telecommunications environment and technologies is considered of high value.
• Mastering English is a must for the position. Speaking French and/or Dutch is a plus.

• You have a good knowledge of Operating systems like Windows and Linux.
• You have knowledge of network technologies.
