Senior Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Hi there! We’re an internationally renowned and successful engineering and consulting company with over 3,000 employees across more than 45 locations worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced network engineer to join our amazing infrastructure team here at ILF Austria, either in Rum / Innsbruck or in Vienna. This position includes working on internal ILF Austria projects, as well as ~40% time spent working with our international “virtual competence team” on projects and tickets that provide services for the international ILF Group.

The person we are looking for has extensive knowledge of, and experience with, corporate networks. When we say experienced, we mean that you have:

• Solid experience working with all aspects of networks such as firewalls, routing, switching, WLAN, proxy servers, load balancers, SIEM, etc.
• Designed (preferably big) networks and implemented them in corporate environments.
• Experience with network protocols, architectures and services (TCP/IP, VPNs, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
• Knowledge of network management and network analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, …)
• Worked with various network authentication systems (e.g. Radius servers, …)
• Working experience with Linux as well as Windows
• Experience with certificate solutions and web servers
  
  

We are currently slowly expanding a fledgling cloud environment, therefore it would be considered a big plus for the role if you have experience with cloud solutions and networking in hybrid scenarios (Azure and Terraform scripting).


Qualifikation:

The person we are looking for is also self-sufficient to a high degree and has the ability to lead internal projects. You are also happy to support other team members and to mentor them when needed. Let’s boil the non-tech stuff down to:

• Advanced communication and organization skills
• Solution-oriented and flexible (but not chaotic)
• Cooperative and communicative at all levels
• Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills
• Structured and systematic work approach

The infrastructure team is a young, international and friendly bunch. We communicate openly, honestly and almost exclusively in English. However if you also know (Austrian) German, this will make your life at ILF easier. It is however not a requirement for the job.

Below are some of the solutions and technologies we use here at ILF. Experience with and knowledge of are considered a big plus:

UniFi, Cisco, Fortinet, Azure, Terraform, Apache, IIS, KEMP & F5 load balancers, Windows firewall, NPS.

More specifically the following certifications would be highly relevant for this position:

• Fortinet: NSE 4, NSE 5
• Cisco: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
• Microsoft: AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-700
