Senior Manager – Finance/Valuation - Investment Fund

Overview:

A leading investment fund in Dubai is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to join its Finance division. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of investment accounting, valuation, and strategic financial oversight. The role is ideally suited to professionals with a strong background in asset valuation, IFRS compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with investment and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and independently review valuations of a diverse active investment portfolio, ensuring adherence to IFRS and best industry practices
• Conduct semi-annual impairment assessments (both standalone and consolidated levels)
• Oversee the investment sub-ledger and coordinate integration with the General Ledger
• Support investment transaction accounting, purchase price allocation (PPA), and related financial statement disclosures
• Collaborate with investment and legal teams during new acquisitions, valuations, and audit processes
• Review financials of investment entities, challenge valuation methodologies, and provide key inputs on KPIs and risk exposures
• Drive automation and process improvements across investment accounting and reporting systems

Candidate Profile:

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in investment finance, valuation, or transaction services
• Prior background in valuation firms, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, or Big Four advisory preferred
• Strong expertise in asset valuation techniques, IFRS, and investment accounting
• Confident in challenging assumptions and methodologies used in valuations
• CFA Level II certification (minimum); CFA charterholder preferred
• Meticulous, analytical, and proactive team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
