The Role:

As a Nine Mile Software Engineer – Exchange Connectivity, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems. Responsibilities of this role will include:

• Build and maintain low-latency connections to global trading venues, covering both order gateways and market data feeds
• Manage and coordinate connectivity with a variety of FIX brokers, managing the projects from inception to delivery
• Manage exchange upgrade projects
• Monitor and analyse exchange-facing components, suggest and implement optimizations for the best trading outcomes
• Work flexibly with a focus on real-time issues as well as long-term projects
• Performance tuning, maximizing throughput, and minimizing latency

What you will bring:

• Development in either Java or C++
• A scripting language, preferably Python
• Experience working in a high-frequency trading firm
• Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments  Solid understanding of network protocols
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine interest in financial markets
• Strong academic record in a computer science degree
• Experience with some or all of the following. ITCH, OUCH, FLEX, Arrowhead, JGATE, OMNET, FIX
