Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our growing team. As a Data Engineer at Smart Bricks, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure that power our AI-driven platform. You will work closely with our product, backend, and data science teams to ensure seamless data flow, scalability, and high-quality data processing across our platform. This role requires strong technical skills in data systems, a solid understanding of modern data engineering practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions that support our platform and AI-powered features.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to ensure data is accessible, structured, and ready for analysis.
• Performance & Scalability: Optimize data workflows for speed, reliability, and scalability, ensuring that data is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Data Infrastructure: Build and maintain data warehouses, ETL processes, and other data infrastructure to store and manage property listings, user profiles, and analytics.
• Testing & Reliability: Implement data validation, monitoring, and automated testing to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data pipelines and systems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and other data engineering tools.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage systems (e.g.,Airflow/Prefect, Spark, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience working with databases, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lake architecture.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets, data quality, and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A passion for working with data and building systems that deliver high-quality insights and decisions.
