Job Description

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess quality and safety issues and recommending improvements. The Inspection Engineer will develop inspection procedures, analyze inspection results, and prepare detailed reports on findings. The position requires a strong understanding of various inspection techniques and the ability to operate and use inspection tools and equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of equipment, materials, and structures to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Develop and implement inspection plans and protocols based on project requirements.
- Analyze inspection data and generate reports on findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns.
- Perform root cause analysis for defects or non-conformities and assist in developing solutions.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and advancements in inspection technologies.
- Participate in audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on inspection processes and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Welding Inspector – AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.2,
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- 10 years of experience in welding inspection of automatic welding for offshore pipeline laying
