Internship in Aircraft Data Analytics (limited 6 months, 80-100%, all genders)

Are you passionate about data and aviation? This internship offers a unique opportunity to join the SWISS TechOps Data & Analytics team, where you’ll collaborate closely with domain experts and actively contribute to the team’s mission: fuelling innovation and keeping us flying high.

Starting date: September 15, 2025 (or upon request)

Tasks

  • Visualize and analyze aircraft and maintenance data
  • Identify trends and detect anomalies that may indicate potential aircraft system malfunctions
  • Develop algorithms to extract insights from unstructured textual data using NLP and LLMs
  • Automate data workflows and build reusable components for future projects
  • Support the development of data products in the cloud

Requirements

  • Workload specification: For this position a 100% workload is preferred
  • Finished Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented, growth-minded
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficient with MS Office and programming (knowledge/experience with Python, SQL, Tableau is an asset)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure) is an asset
  • Experience with NLP and LLMs is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Distinctive communication and presentation skills, ability to convey complex technical topics in clear language
