Front-End Developer – Hybrid (2 days on-site in Wigan)

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

A leading company in Wigan is seeking a talented Front-End Developer to join its growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create responsive, high-performing web applications and deliver outstanding user experiences in a collaborative environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with designers, back-end developers, and product teams to bring digital projects to life. They will be responsible for developing clean, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces that perform seamlessly across devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Implement modern frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Collaborate with designers to produce pixel-perfect UI/UX.
• Optimise front-end applications for speed, performance, and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain front-end codebases.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging web technologies and best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with at least one front-end framework (React preferred).
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering excellent user experiences.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with TypeScript or Next.js.
• Understanding of RESTful API integrations.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
