Freelance - Data Team Lead

Teals Consulting is a Belgian consulting company active in Financial Services, Energy, Manufacturing and Retail sectors.

Key tasks

1. Manage and provide reporting on the portfolio of requests and projects;
2. Evaluate and prioritize incoming business requests considering budget, capacity, urgency, and technological constraints ;
3. Communicate with all business stakeholders ;
4. Lead and manage a team ;
5. Ensure all requirements are fully considered ;
6. Define, monitor, and report on budget ;
7. Communicate about the added value of the deliverables of the team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Participate to the creation of a data analytics' strategy ;
2. Promote the best practices within the client's company ;
3. Coach, manage, and coordinate a team to facilitate data collection, transfer, analysis, and interpretation ;
4. Lead and manage a team to maximize the business value ;
5. Interact with the business and support them through the change process.

Required qualifications

Technical skills: Data analytics, Data governance, Dimensional modelling, Analytical and rigorous approach to data management, Data Lakehouse architecture, Microsoft Data Analytics landscape, PowerBI or similar tool.

Consulting Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Capable of understanding client requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions, and presenting recommendations to diverse audiences. Be a team player to help the team grow.

Languages skills: fluent in Dutch or French with a very good knowledge of English and Dutch/French.

Experience

• In leadership (at least 3 years in a similar position)
• In project management using agile techniques
