Conversational AI Data Scientist

Gambit seeks a AI Data Scientist to join our team and spearhead the development of a next-generation virtual assistant powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).

Gambit is a leading provider of investment advisory and discretionary management solutions. Our platform is built on robust micro-services, each contributing to the global architecture of our investment solutions. Language models are the next logical step, allowing interaction with both advisors and directly with clients.

You'll design and implement data science solutions to transform our virtual assistant into an invaluable tool. Leverage your NLP and Machine Learning expertise to bridge the gap between user queries and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LLM models to translate user queries into well-formed SQL queries
• Build and refine LLM models for transforming raw data into interpretable results (text, graphics, tables)
• Collaborate seamlessly with engineers and product managers to integrate your models with the virtual assistant platform
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance using metrics and user feedback
• Stay on top of advancements in NLP, Machine Learning, and virtual assistant technologies
• Document your work clearly for future reference
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and queries
• Familiarity with NLP is a plus
• Proven experience in designing and implementing NLP or Machine Learning models, particularly with LLMs
• Experience with RAG models is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Passion for AI and pushing the boundaries of what's possible
• Understanding of APIs and MicroServices: Familiarity with API functionality, styles (RESTful), and inter-system communication
• Experience with MicroServices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for deploying Machine Learning models
• Go-getter mentality for a fast-paced fintech/SaaS company
• Knowledge of banking and Finance is a strong plus
  
  

Language skills

Fluent in English and French, written and oral (NL is a plus)
