About this job:
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead and optimize our data operations processes. This role is responsible for overseeing data quality reviews, driving process improvements, and managing a team of analysts. Based in Dublin, the position is part of the EMELA Life Operations team, reporting to the Data Infrastructure Team Lead – Life & Health, EMELA.
The Data Management team is responsible for processing, monitoring, and analysing bordereaux data received from our cedants. The successful candidate will be working closely with various business users on activities revolving data including transforming and processing data in our tools. This data supports multiple functions across the organisation and is critical for various financial, actuarial studies and reporting.

About The Role
- Overseeing data operations processes, including task allocation and monitoring workloads to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data procedures and best practices.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders regarding data operational issues, escalating technical matters as necessary.
- Developing, monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data quality and team productivity.
- Fostering a high-performance culture centred on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Building and maintaining good relationship with various stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of the team’s deliverables and promoting effective working relationship.
- Supporting stakeholders with data related queries or issues
- Participating in projects or other ad hoc duties as assigned
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data operations or data management.
- Experience in insurance or reinsurance industry is a strong plus.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); knowledge of another language is a plus.
- Experience in leading or managing a team.
- A strong understanding of data structures and data processing workflows (coding expertise is not required).
- Experience working with data management tools and ETL processes (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Excel).
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and validate large data sets from multiple sources.
- A solid understanding of data lifecycle management and best practices in data processing pipelines.
