Senior User Interface Designer

• Location: Australia wide with a preference for Melbourne based, hybrid on site
• Employment Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: Ending in December 2025 with scope to extend this project + join others

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior UI Designer to join a major design system initiative. This role is highly collaborative with developers, focusing on implementing and extending an existing design system into Deloitte’s accelerator platform. You’ll work on re-skinning, building page templates, and creating scalable components using design tokens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and evolve an existing design system using design tokens.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless integration into the accelerator.
• Create page templates and reusable UI components.
• Work with UX wireframes to deliver polished UI solutions.
• Contribute to large-scale product design for enterprise-level clients (e.g., financial services, government, SaaS).

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with design systems and atomic design principles.
• Strong understanding of design tokens and UI implementation.
• Background in product design
• Ability to work on large, complex UI projects rather than small standalone websites.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UI design and component libraries.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially developers.
