Product Lead, People Recommendations

Our team is building the next generation recommendation platform, which enables users of the Bumble Inc. apps  to find meaningful connections through multiple discovery entry points. We closely partner with engineering, data science, machine learning, and other product teams to improve user experience and impact business performance.

This role will be reporting into Product Director and will be based in London

• Set, communicate and execute on the vision and strategy for the Recommendations Group
• Collaborate directly with the recommendations team to deliver customer-focused improvements and identify research and experimentation strategies
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, machine learning and acquisition teams to identify opportunities to improve marketplace performance 
• Take ownership of product innovation and defining opportunities for incremental growth
• Work collaboratively across both product collectives, brand teams and functional businesses areas to drive the business and product strategy
• Manage and communicate with the leadership team to ensure full transparency and alignment on the strategy and required resources to deliver
• Establish and evangelise a culture of iterative ML-driven product development together with internal partners
  

• Proven product experience delivering ML-driven recommender systems & marketplaces
• Have led products across all stages of the product life cycle in a fast paced, high-growth environment, balancing short-term improvements and long-term strategic goals
• Experience working with and educating cross-functional teams and stakeholders in data science, analytics, product management, design, and engineering
• 7 + years of experience in product management
• Analytical or engineering background
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledgeable and curious about modern data science approaches
