Cloud Engineer

SKL Technology are searching for AWS Cloud Engineer will give expert technical, policy, and operational support to help solve complex problems.

Location: Australia Wide, work in an office near you.

Type: Contract

Length: 18 months, possible extension

WFH: Hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing a team of AWS Cloud Engineers, including assigning tasks, finding training opportunities, and mentoring junior staff.
• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure to support reliable and scalable applications.
• Set up and manage automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) to make software delivery faster and smoother.
• Monitor and fix issues in AWS cloud systems to ensure they run smoothly and without downtime.
• Develop secure solutions that follow best practices, including government standards like PSPF, ASD Blueprints, and ISM Controls.
• Automate AWS infrastructure setup and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and version control with Git.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1. Hands-on experience setting up AWS solutions.
2. Experience leading teams or working as a technical lead.
3. Experience using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Vault, and Git (GitLab/GitHub).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience working with Microsoft Azure solutions.
