A UK financial services business is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join its team. This role involves developing and delivering innovative mobile solutions, leveraging the latest technologies and industry best practices. You’ll be working on high-impact projects that enhance customer engagement and streamline digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities - 
 Design and Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
Client Collaboration:
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly mobile solutions.
Agile Development:
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Testing and Debugging:
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
Code Reviews:
  • Contribute to code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency.
Technology Exploration:
  • Stay up to date with the latest Android technologies and trends, and explore tools and techniques to enhance development efficiency.
Documentation:
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for applications and related development processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of the Android SDK and associated development tools.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing data efficiently.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is desirable.
