Senior Frontend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (Angular) on a daily rate contract basis with a major multinational financial firm on a hybrid basis in their Dublin office (EMEA HQ).

You will be instrumental in designing and developing high-quality user interfaces for applications used within investment banking. This role requires strong front-end development expertise—particularly in Angular—and a solid grasp of modern UI/UX principles.

Working in an Agile/Scrum environment, you'll collaborate closely with product owners, designers, backend developers, and QA to deliver responsive, maintainable, and user-centric interfaces. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using Angular.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and ensure smooth data flow.
• Build responsive UI components using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• Evaluate and implement UI/UX designs, recommending enhancements where appropriate.
• Maintain high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Key Skills/Experience

• Expertise in recent versions Angular (15+), TypeScript, RxJS, and component-based architecture.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/LESS, with a solid understanding of responsive design.
• Proven experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges and effective solutions.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and workflows, including Webpack, npm, and Angular CLI.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
