Backend Engineer (Python + Golang)

Join the backend team of one of Europe’s top marketplaces! At Oxigent Technologies, we’re hiring a Backend Engineer (Python + Golang bonus) to help evolve a large-scale digital product used by millions.

You’ll be part of an international team of highly skilled professionals, actively contributing to the evolution and maintenance of the platform — specifically within the Search & Recommendation area. A technical challenge at scale, with millions of users.

What will you do?

• Design, develop and deploy critical new features in a “you build it, you run it” environment.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers (frontend, backend, mobile).
• Maintain high code quality through best practices, pair programming, and QA sessions.
• Ensure scalability, reliability and performance of the services you own.

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Good level of English (minimum high B2, ideally C1), as you’ll work with international teams.
• Ability to work autonomously, share knowledge, and actively contribute to technical decisions.

What tech will you work with?

• Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Celery), Golang
• Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, BigQuery
• Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• CI/CD with ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub
• Monitoring with Datadog

• Competitive salary between €46,000 and €51,000 gross/year, depending on your experience
• Full remote work from anywhere in Spain, with 2 days/month onsite at one of our offices (Barcelona, Bordeaux, or Paris)
