About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with a collaborative team to develop and maintain scalable, secure software systems focused on environmental sustainability. Your work will involve designing solutions that meet high standards for performance, reliability, and security, contributing directly to projects that aim to improve environmental outcomes. This role requires a balance of hands-on development and technical leadership, providing guidance to junior engineers and contributing to best practices across the team.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and Implement: Design, develop, and optimize software components with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.

• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Maintain Code Quality: Create and maintain unit tests, automated tests, and conduct code reviews to ensure high standards.

• Ensure System Reliability: Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to optimize system uptime and performance.

• Mentor and Guide: Support the growth of junior engineers by providing mentorship and sharing best practices.

About You:

• Experience: 5+ years in software development, with expertise in building scalable, cloud-based applications.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience with REST APIs, AWS, and cloud infrastructure.

• Problem-Solver: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.

• Collaboration: Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset, eager to work in cross-functional teams.

• Sustainability Mindset: Passionate about contributing to technology solutions that make a positive environmental impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace or Grafana.

• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or familiarity with related principles.

• Knowledge of sustainable technology or a strong interest in environmental impact.
