A prestigious global consultancy located in Ghent seeking a Support Engineer for a significant Mobile rollout project.


Role Summary

The successful candidate will function as the primary point of contact for device provisioning, technical coordination, and first-tier user support throughout both hardware refresh projects. This role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, technical competency, and the ability to manage complex logistics while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.


Job Description:

  • Schedule and coordinate device exchange appointments with employees across all departments, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Manage the end-to-end device handover process, including asset tracking, documentation, and user acknowledgements
  • Deliver first-line technical support for newly deployed laptops (Windows environment) and smartphones (iOS platform)
  • Ensure proper device staging and configuration according to organisational standards and security policies
  • Validate device functionality and resolve basic technical issues during deployment
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with end users, IT teams, and project stakeholders throughout the deployment process
  • Document and escalate complex technical issues to appropriate second and third-tier support teams
  • Provide regular project status updates and maintain accurate deployment metrics
  • Address user concerns and questions with patience and technical expertise
  • Conduct user orientation sessions on new device features and corporate applications


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise with Windows laptop environments and enterprise applications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of iOS devices, including configuration and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, Active Directory, and mobile device management
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
  • Minimum 2-3 years in IT helpdesk, technical support, or customer-facing technical role
  • Proven track record in hardware deployment or technology refresh projects
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with ability to manage diverse user needs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities with methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Professional demeanor with ability to represent the organisation effectively
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, change-oriented environments
