Remote Golang API Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in need of a Remote Golang API Software Engineer. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code from concept through production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, performant, and reliable software
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform strategy
• Build tools and services for data movement and API integrations using Golang
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to frontend development
• Deploy and manage infrastructure in AWS and Azure using tools like Ansible and Terraform
• Ensure data integrity and performance across SQL and NoSQL databases
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and shipping commercial software
• Passion for software engineering and building impactful solutions
• Mastery of at least one programming language
• Experience with multi-tenant, cloud-based delivery models
• Strong understanding of data performance tuning and large-scale data handling
• Familiarity with AWS and Azure services
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design and interaction
• Exposure to big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Presto is a plus
• Proficiency with development tools and processes: Git, Jira, CI/CD, test automation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
