AI Automation Engineer

About the Role

We’re building a future where Chain of Events, the B2B event company behind Paris Blockchain Week and RAISE Summit, becomes AI-first across all departments, from Sales and Marketing to Ops, Finance, and Customer Success. This role is a chance to get in at the ground floor of that transformation.

As an AI Automation Engineer, you’ll design and build internal AI agents and automation systems that power how our teams operate. You’ll work with LLMs, automation platforms, and team-critical tools to create smart workflows that save time, reduce manual tasks, and drive business performance.

This role combines systems thinking with hands-on development. You’ll design solutions and build the automations that bring them to life. You’ll report and work closely with the Head of AI & Growth to identify, prioritize, and implement high-leverage solutions across the company.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build AI agents to automate repetitive tasks across teams and increase performance.

• Build automations using platforms and frameworks like n8n, LangChain, and LangGraph, along with LLM APIs and scripting in Python or Node.js.

• Create structured outputs and workflows compatible with tools like HubSpot, Clay, Monday.com, etc.

• Design agents that run on a schedule, respond to real-time events, or can be triggered manually by team members

• Build with real-world users in mind minimizing hallucinations, validating outputs, and enabling manual overrides where needed.

• Collaborate with the Head of AI & Growth to prioritize what gets built, why, and how

• Implement security-minded, modular designs for data handling, retries, and integrations

• Contribute to internal prompt libraries, workflows, and agent templates that can be reused across teams

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of technical experience building systems with automation, APIs, or applied LLMs

• Strong programming skills in Python and Node.js, with a solid understanding of automation logic and prompt engineering

• Familiarity with tools like n8n and AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI)

• Familiarity with vector search, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Able to map workflows to data sources, logic gates, fallbacks, and triggers, like an architect, not just a coder

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B SaaS, events, sales operations, or marketing automation

• Exposure to CRM and campaign tooling, lead routing logic, or customer onboarding flows
