Our client is a large organisation in the early stages of a significant digital refresh. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll lead the end-to-end experience and interface design of a new mobile app before moving onto further projects including redesigning websites and internal portals. This role offers the chance to take ownership of design systems, accessibility, and user-centred design within a high-profile, user-impacting project.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product and business owners.
- Conduct business, provider and participant engagement activities to maximise opportunities to co-design the requirements and outcome of each project. This includes changes to processes, systems, people and information.
- Illustrate concepts using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
- Design wireframes and prototypes both low and high fidelity (mobile and web).
- User research including usability testing.
- Facilitate co-design workshops to generate and iterate ideas with various stakeholders
- Capture and analysis of data related requirements in collaboration with business analysts.
- Achieve agreement and the formal sign-off of requirements by stakeholders and governance groups as required.
- Influence project documentation to support the UI/UX requirements definition, e.g. Requirements specifications, process maps, service design artefacts, functional and non-functional requirements, change management implications, data and reporting considerations.
- Produce deliverables in accordance with project schedules.
About you:
- Experience designing mobile apps (iOS/Android), with strong capability in both UX and UI
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
- Proficiency in Figma and ability to create and maintain shared design systems
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence other UXers and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch is essential, including the ability to produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA standards and best practices in accessible design is critical
This is a rare opportunity to take the lead on a major mobile and web design transformation, with the autonomy and support to shape user experience across the organisation's digital ecosystem.
