Job Title: Business Analyst – Commercial Banking

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite, downtown Toronto)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in the Commercial Banking domain. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project managers to analyze and document business requirements, define process improvements, and support the successful delivery of key initiatives across the Commercial Banking portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders in the Commercial Banking line of business.
• Conduct current- and future-state analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and user stories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, compliance, and product to deliver business solutions.
• Support testing activities including creating test cases, validating results, and facilitating UAT.
• Participate in project planning, impact assessments, and change management activities.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal risk/compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Business Analyst experience, with a strong focus on Commercial Banking.
• Deep understanding of commercial banking products, services, customer segments, and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (3 days onsite per week in downtown Toronto).
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling software.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with system implementations or enhancements in a banking environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in commercial banking (e.g., AML, KYC, credit risk).
• CBAP certification or equivalent is an asset.
