iOS Software Engineer

iOS Engineer 
Location: UK – Remote
Contract Length: 6 months (Start: October 2025)
Rate: Up to £350 per day PAYE

Join our client's Mobile team and help build the design systems powering the most visible surfaces across platforms — from AI and Account Center to Login and Verified. We’re seeking a Senior iOS Engineer with experience in PHP/Hack to support the Cross Design System — a scalable, high-quality UI infrastructure used across the Family of Apps (FoA).
You’ll build native UI components, drive migrations, and shape the look and feel of products seen by millions of users daily. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate across product and infrastructure teams, working on some of Meta’s most strategic initiatives including GenAI and Accounts.

What You’ll Do:

• Build new UI components for iOS using native frameworks, PHP/Hack, and React
• Migrate legacy components and ensure quality and consistency across apps
• Work closely with PMs, designers, and partner engineers to scale and evolve XMDS
• Support and optimize features such as sticky headers, animated carousels, and dynamic dialogs
• Participate in experimentation and performance tuning
• Occasional on-call (1 in every 6 weeks during normal hours, optional for contractors)
  

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience building high-quality native iOS applications
• Strong experience in PHP/Hack for backend component integration
• Solid knowledge of React and front-end development best practices
• Proven track record in building scalable design systems or reusable component libraries
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and shipping production-grade software
