Drilling Engineering - Technical Assistant

SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

N+2 position:          D&W – Drilling Manager – François BONTEMS

N+1 position:          DW/OPS – Head of Drilling Operations – Matthew MCEWAN

ACCOUNTABILITIES

To coordinate Drilling Engineering and Operations activities in order to optimize results and smooth workflow in safe and cost-effective way.

JOB DIMENSIONS

1. Active in a Drilling and Wells team with up to 60 personnel.
2. Provide technical support to D&W departments (Drilling Engineering, Drilling Operations, Fluid and Cement and Methods).
3. Work under regular office schedule.

• Conduct all work in safe and environmentally friendly manner in respect of the IF+ philosophy
• Ensure HSEQ procedures and IF+ requirements are emphasized to the contractors.

    5.   Extent by which the job is constrained by policy / procedure / instruction: All tasks to be adhering to NOC HSE
policies, procedures and CMS. Ensure that health, safety and environmental risks are assessed, and necessary measures taken to mitigate safety and health risks according to ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practical) principle

ACTIVITIES

• Planning and organization of onshore D&W schedules
• Planning and organization of offshore rotational schedules for Operations, Fluids and Safety personnel
• Liaises with contracted staff agencies to coordinate the needs and make adjustment as required
• Liaises for Security Pass and safety requirements for staff going offshore
• Monitors safety training certificates and schedules training when needed
• Performs the required administration for Drilling Engineering, Operations, Fluids & Cement, Safety and Methods Team within D&W.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Skill Sets: Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and MS365 applications including Power Bi (preferred).
• Proficient in English (oral and written).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Shows initiative and comfortable with delivering against deadlines.
• Works independently but asks if/when unsure of job requirements.
• Attention to details.
• Accurate and systematic whilst working with large amounts of data.
