Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PHP Developer with a strong background in Laravel and Symfony frameworks, coupled with essential knowledge of networking protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing robust web applications, bringing a unique blend of backend development expertise and an understanding of how applications interact over networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy efficient, scalable, and maintainable web applications using PHP, primarily with Laravel and Symfony frameworks.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices and industry standards.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services, ensuring seamless data exchange.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.
• Understand and apply networking concepts and protocols (e.g., HTTP/S, TCP/IP, REST, SOAP) in application development and troubleshooting.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends, particularly in PHP development, web frameworks, and networking.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4 to 10 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong expertise in at least one, and preferably both, of the following PHP frameworks:
• Laravel (in-depth knowledge of Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, routing, middleware, queues, etc.)
• Symfony (strong understanding of components, bundles, Dependency Injection, Event Dispatcher, Doctrine ORM, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), including database design, optimization, and query tuning.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts and common protocols, such as:
• HTTP/HTTPS
• TCP/IP
• RESTful APIs and SOAP
• DNS
• Experience in consuming and creating web services (RESTful APIs).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React/Vue.js a plus).
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex application and network-related issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
