Job Purpose
The position reports into the Project Management Organization at Straumann Group with the following main tasks:
- Responsible for leading projects/program developing business model, clinical workflows and/or medical device from idea creation to launch in the markets
- Defines, implements, maintains project/program scope and set-up, develops timeline with associ-ate cost and resource needs (budget) for new projects/programs in close collaboration with Project Team
- Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary project teams with Straumann group broad stakeholder’s management in complex environment.
- Proactively monitor performance (timeline, quality, budget and resources)
- Seek counteractions quickly to address performance gaps, remove obstacles and redirect efforts as needed in collaboration with internal business partners and subcontractors
- Elaborate, improve current products and/or processes based on company strategy
- Interacts within the Straumann Group and takes global ownership to complete assigned projects within a set of restrains including standard quality and regulatory requirements
- Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Performs and updates project risk analysis, enforces compliance to regulations and internal processes
- Actively supports business process improvements for i.e. PDP and LP
- Works closely and regularly for all the Straumann Group brands with our Workflow development, #Tech, Connected Customer Solutions partners and with external business development companies.
- Coordinate, -lead and coach interdisciplinary project/program teams
- Broad environment stakeholder’s management
- Develop timeline according to budget and resources together with the project/program teams
- Defines, implements, maintains project/program scope
- Lead projects/programs with team members throughout the Straumann Group
- Proactively monitor performance (timeline, quality, budget, resources)
- Lead of problem-solving activities when necessary
- Review projects/programs risks regularly
- Support the improvement of standard processes
- Maintain effective communication internally and externally
- Engineering, bio/engineering or life science degree on university level
- MBA or equivalent post graduate diploma is a plus
- PhD is a plus
- Project Management Education is of advantage (Waterfall as well as Agile)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device development / project lead of medical devices
- Prior experience with Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application devel-opment projects.
- Proven ability to lead software and hardware development and launch projects to ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
- Iterative approach that focuses on frequent value delivery and getting fast feedback form the market
- Co-development of solutions with customers
- Collaborative problem-solving approach applying to modern-day project management
- Applicable standards and regulations (MDD/MDR, FDA, ISO)
- Design control process and Product Development Process (PDP)
- Product development, manufacturing and testing
