Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer with a focus on hardware (HW) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and validating hardware components and systems in real-world environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and quality. This role requires occasional travel up to 40% of work time and close co-operation with customers, partners, and the entire product organization.

Job Summary

You will work in close collaboration with the whole Product Organization. You will have the responsibility for conducting field tests on hardware components and systems, gathering and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and preparing detailed reports. You will also collaborate with design, development, and quality assurance teams to ensure hardware meets specified requirements and standards.

More Specifically, As a Test Engineer, You Will

• Conduct Field Testing: Perform comprehensive field tests on hardware components and systems to evaluate their performance under various conditions.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data from field tests to identify issues, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues encountered during field testing.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results, including observations, findings, and recommendations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design, development, and quality assurance teams to ensure hardware meets specified requirements and standards.
• Compliance: Ensure all hardware testing complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support with Product Support and Demo Activities: Provide your support for product support activities and demo activities.
  
  

Technical Skills

What we’re looking for

• Knowledge of hardware testing tools and equipment, data analysis software, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience in hardware testing, field testing, or a related role.
• Experience with a range of end devices and RF technologies, including 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
• Experience and eye on hardware usability
• Basic understanding of software functionality

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant experience: Experience in hardware testing, field testing, or a related role.
• Language requirement: English (fluent in written and spoken) - a must. Finnish - a plus.
